You are a fine specimen…

I received am email the other day to the address from my photography site. In a nut shell it was complimenting my work. Usually these emails are welcome. This one was not. Pretty much everything about this email freaked me out and I was having a hard time deciding if it was junk mail or not. The language feels strange and the way the person claims to have come to my site is bizarre.

Here is the email:

Dearest Chris,

You are a fine specimen of a Jack McCloud… I think you, my dear, have found your true calling in the architectural photography sector.. My niece has been emailing the updates of her schooling which i think is a fine thing for any young lady to delve into. Your address was sent as a reference point as i always stress is important in any young persons life. Follow your passions my dear lad and let you heart entangle with the passion it was so surely meant! For you it is in architecture. I can feel your soul in this particular section of your work. However Europe is the only place for you to truly find your calling. As a Londoner myself the architecture of St.Paul’s will inspire the soul more than any Bostonian structure. Follow your heart boy!! It will lead you wherever you need to go!

Sincerely Yours, Mrs. Henry Lampert-De Winter

I don’t even know if that was a question or a declarative statement.

Yesterday I went to Highland Mountain Bike Park with my BMX bike to session the dirt jumps. I have always loved no-footed can-cans but could never really do them. Well, something was different because on the first try I did one. It wasn’t a great one but one nonetheless.

Thomas when to get the camera so he could photograph me. On the second attempt I slipped a pedal on the landing and sliced a 4” long gash in my shin.

I went to the ER to get it looked at and the doctor said stitches weren’t essential but I will heal faster if I get them. I decided to just get them. Seven stitches are now in my shin.
